Alexandra holds a Master of Arts in Social Design from MICA in Baltimore. She also received a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. She began her studies at the Schule für Gestaltung Basel in Switzerland. Her passion for typography was sparked by her high school art teacher, who instructed her on a traditional letterpress and also taught her silk screen printing.

After working at The Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University as a publications specialist, Alexandra has recently contributed her knowledge of user experience and user interface design to health care projects at the innovation center at CMS (The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services). 

She has also worked in the offices of Milton Glaser and Walter Bernard prototyping designs for magazines such as Golf Digest and L’Espresso, and participated in a design workshop with Wolfgang Weingart.

She is a long-time resident of Baltimore city. She is a world traveler, fluent in German, a Boston Marathon finisher, and enjoys baking.
